Hi

It be dependant on your needs.

There are!

Portable/ pavement scooters than can be dismantled into five pieces for easy boot loading.

Pavement scooters a bit large and robust.

Road legal scooters higher speed larger and more robust.

Visit your local mobility shop to inspect and try out. ( prices are usually higher)

Online stores are cheaper.

WAV can be obtained through the Motobility scheme if you receive higher rate DLA/ PIP

There are several retailers selling ex motobility vehicles including WAV.

Hi Gerry

It is important to remember that whatever scooter you buy it will need servicing and repair. That's not easy if your dealer is hundreds of miles away. If you aren't mechanically minded it could be better to pay a bit more and buy locally.

Agree with Bobby. I deal with the Cambridge Mobility Centre, who have been very helpful over the years. Any problems, they will come out (half an hour) or you to them. I have had some very good deals on nearly new scooters. I am sure there is a similar centre near you.

I will add that I have had many happy trips on mine, and do all the shopping (apart from online)

I have a small mobility scooter and a Ford Galaxy 7 seat car. The 2 seats at the rear are left flat and I have an electric arm with a remote which is attached to the scooter and swings it out and down onto the road. The reverse action when re-loading it, so no lifting which means I can go out on my own. This works perfectly for me. Any help?
