Wow, am I jealous? Yes I am! Lovely, I've two sisters too so I hope you all have a great week. (I don't think we three would survive a whole week together). Enjoy.

I got a text from my sister a couple of hours ago to say that they were stuck on the tarmac at the airport there flight to Egypt had been delayed. Both my sisters are having 2 weeks in Egypt come back about midnight will drive straight to my house have a brew etc then we will set off in my car to Cornwall. One sister drives so I have put her on my insurance but I will drive the first leg.I opted out of Egypt as last time I flew I struggled to breathe on the plane.

It is good having my sisters to go out with but it has only been since September last when my eldest one left her husband and moved nearer to me then the other one retired so now we go out at least once a week for lunch. You are right though we may kill each other if they survive the 2 weeks in Egypt first.

love Gail

Oh my goodness, I just looked where you live. That's a fair old drive.

Very brave of your sister to leave her husband in later life. Wish my younger sis wouldleave hers as she's so unhappy.

My youngest has just had a fantasticly restful week in Egypt. At least they aren't stuck in Cairo eh. I was stuck there 29 years ago, on my own with a new born and 2 children. It was filthy but exciting at same time. Sure it's changed a lot now though with all the tourist money.

She had freshly caught fish every day.

Have they left yet? Hope they've arrived by now.

Shame you couldnt go. The weather would be lovely this time of year. I lived next door in Libya for 6 years, lovely climate. Blue sea & sky just about every day. xx

You must have been very brave to live in a country like Egypt on your own.My brother the baby of the family has for years travelled all over the world on business and says that it really makes you think how civilised England is. Haven't heard any more from my sisters. The one who left her husband should have done that years ago she is having such a good life now.

I went off to Libya with my husband back in the day. We were 7 months pregnant with our son at the time. We went on to have a daughter (then later in blighty our third, his forth).

Lovely start in life for little ones, in an oasis not far from the Med and gorgeous sandy beaches. Stayed 6 years. Sadly couldnt travel to Egypt at that time because Col Gadafi had the borders closed

Yes, we take England for granted, we have the freedom others die for - no wonder everyone wants to come here!
