I have told I have NRIP the first word is NON last word I think is pneumonia any clues I should have asked the consultant

The only thing I can think of is Non-secific respiratory tract infection but it doesn't quite fit the initials (NRIP).

I hope someone else knows.

The only one I know of is NSIP - Non-specific interstitial pneumonia

Give the BLF Helpline a call, or call the hospital and ask.

NSIP - Non specific intestitial pneumonitis is what I have - a type of pulmonary fibrosis ( scarring of the lung) Could it be that?

Thanks I hope you are keeping healthy and well I should have got the name from my consultant I am Glasgow man retired from work 22 months ago due to my condition on medication

Hi maggie I have my condition for about 4years also have aortic valve replacement for 28 years at present I am on 500mg mycophenolate mofetil 3 aday 20 prednisolone aday acetycysteine 2aday I am also on oxygen at night and use when required.do you use oxygen..thanks Gerry
