anyone have problems with biologic injection site?

Hi,

I’ve been on tezspire for a year and have always injected into my stomach (alternating sides) with no problems. I decided to change it up today injected into my thigh which was a lot more painful, bled, and bruised instantly. I’m hoping it won’t affect the absorption by hitting a blood vessel? Does anyone else ever get this? Is it ok to just stick to alternating sides of my stomach in future?

Thanks

Hi libbie142

I don’t think there’s any problem alternating between sites on your stomach.

I have been injecting for over 4yrs every 2 weeks and use various sites ( mainly in my stomach) but also in the top of my legs. You are right that it hurts more in the legs but I try to pinch as large a piece of skin as possible as this seems to help with the sting.

I think its important not to inject in exactly the same area consecutively but I find close by is ok.

I much prefer my arm above all the other options but you need a buddy to do that for you and as my husband is scared of needles that’s not really an option for me!!

Hope it all calms down soon.

thank you so much, I feel a lot more reassured. Think I’ll just stick to alternating sides in my stomach from now on! ☺️

No problem… 😊 don’t beat yourself up about it… I think all that matters is that you are brave enough to do the injection yourself. So whatever suits you is just fine.
