I got a fit bit for Christmas and just wanted to share my experience of it, I got it to encourage me to get fitter and lose a bit of weight but have found a few other benefits as well.
it measures your heart rate and overnight recovery and works out how much you should do the next day.
and i always ignore it and find myself getting a flare up as I notice my heart rate slowly goes up for a few days and my sleep pattern not so good.
So next time I’m not ignoring it 🤪🤪🤪, I think it could be a useful addition to all the ways to predict how well your asthma is doing.

That sound interesting. I'd love something like that but I have issues with nickel which, unfortunately, they all seem to use in the bits that contact the skin
I've looked at a number of them. None of them seem able to guarantee no nickel. A bit like you'll see something like "this product does not contain nuts but was made in a factory where nuts are used" kinda thing. I think there was one that said they only use a very tiny % of nickel. Not willing to take the chance.
She divided my breathlessness attacks into, Ilo attacks, to be solved by breathing exercises, asthma attacks to be handled by my trusty fostair 100 mart, and a third category of, you did way too much exercise yesterday, so of course you are knackered and breathless.
That third category might be solved with the help of your fitbit.
Worth a try. Although as said before some people can react to the metals in them.
I found alot of benefits to it even some mornings thinking why do I feel tired when I slept a long time but then check my heart rate variability and find it’s low or my deep sleep was low. It’s now a case of following it’s advice a bit more and maybe I’ll avoid some flare ups.
You probably have a more recent Fitbit than I. I'd been wearing the Charge 2 from early 2018, quite sufficient to measure daily steps, sleep, calories used, pulse/heart rate. Last xmas I progressed to the Charge 4 (which is still sufficient for my needs & tells me my O2 is low at night). Being a stone overweight I find myself nipping the dog out before bed to get in two or three thousand steps just to ensure hitting my 10,000 steps in before midnight - I get a sense of achievement and the dog's happy 😃 win/win (not to mention walking off a few calories!
