Has anybody who has had adrenal insufficiency caused by their steroid-based asthma inhaler managed to reverse the adrenal insufficiency AND remain on a steroid-based asthma inhaler? Or reversed the adrenal insufficiency by moving to a non-steroidal asthma management? If the latter, did you change to biologics?

Adrenal insufficiency
I do hope u get replies by others in same boat.i can't help except to say biolohics have made my asthma more manageable x
Good morning .I was found to have this in December 23 when i had my 1st appointment at severe asthma clinic .
Im still on all my inhalers (fostair 200/6,, spiriva ,) and im now on my 4th biologic injection of Fasenra , and also on a 4mg daily dose of predisolone .
I went to the" weaning" clinic yesterday andi am awaiting the blood test results to see if i can come off the predisoline ,or reduce down to 3mg .They said if im making enough cortisone of my own i can come off them ,hopefully results will be back today .
They also said i still have inflammation in my airways/lungs but it is early days on the injection .
Hoping to reverse the insufficiency soon enough to get off steroid inhalers and use just the injection ,if that is at all possible .
I developed adrenal insufficiency after 3 years of high dose seretide inhaler. My respiratory consultant changed me to Alvesco and we gradually reduced the dose but am still taking it.
My most recent synacthen test shows signs of adrenal function recovery. My endocrinologist hopes I will be able to stop AI treatment by Christmas
Blood results are in .. so Andrenal glands are trying to work yayy but not coming off the steroids anytime soon , back this week for more blood tests as i am possibly resistant to the Fasenra injection as Eosophils are creeping back up ,so may need to change injection to a different one.One step forward one step back .
