I am not on ventolin, as it causes awful palpitations. I am now in symbicort turbohaler and have been for years.I am lucky as I am very well controlled, thankfully with symbicort and montelucust.

yea symbicort is combination of two and

It’s very good inhaler … my daughter is using it as a reliever and preventer now …

I found the palpitations were caused by the gasses in the propellant, the accuhaler being a dpi doesn't cause them for me.

Apparently they are getting rid of the basic inhalers due to gas that propels them .

I do hope not - I can’t use dpi!

I’m on both Montelukast and symbicort plus ventolin in an emergency - luckily haven’t experienced palpitations

I don't know why you are on ventolin as well as symbicort is combined, if I am bad I can take up to 12puffs before I need help. But never get to that thank goodness .

Symbicort is a slower acting reliever and with my lifestyle and activity I occasionally need an immediate relief inhaler - eg when I’m climbing or XC skiing. I also use ventolin just prior to making a presentation or intense cardio activity, symbicort is great if I know I’m going into an environment with digs of other allergens but totally useless if I am unexpectedly exposed to them and have an acute incident. It’s about managing different situations. I can go down quickly without warning but also recover quickly as I kept cardio fit

Just regular over the counter stuff Loratadine / very cheap at Boots own brand. They were recommended by my GP as they are no longer prescribing them

I buy allacan cetirizine hydrochloride 10mg film coated tablets. I get 6 months for about £9-00, been on them for years as had been on them a long time, but have always bought on line as cheaper.
