After a week on Fostair 100/6 there’s been a definite improvement in wheezing, mucus production and cough which have all reduced. I’m encouraged to think there will be continued improvement in the weeks ahead as the long-acting element does its work.
I still experience tension headache in the forehead that comes and goes and drowsiness that develops late afternoon. Are these related to asthma?

I'm not sure about the headache, but I personally do feel very tired when my asthma isn't behaving. It seems to take a lot more effort to just breathe then. When it's doing better I definitely have more energy.
Hopefully when your inhaler kicks in fully that will also be the case for you - especially if your asthma is currently waking you up at night, which is common when it's not well controlled.
I sometimes get a headache when using more doses of fostair or salbutamol. It's probably the formetoral but it could also be from the tiredness of being unwell. Hope you feel better soon.
I've been using fostair 100/6 for about 4 years and it's been the by far the best inhaler I've ever used (27 years of using inhalers), a game changer infact my breathing has improved so much and there is no more wheezing at all, so I would say if your anything like me then I'd say your going to see more improvements
