No,but my 5yr old grandsons really suffered frm being a baby.the chewable montelukast pill he started on when 4 has been a real game changer.u wouldn't know he has asthma,
Wow that’s nice my daughter is taking the biologic but every treatment she has wither shows side effects of stops working after a while so it’s kind of complicated but appreciate your help. Good luck
Its so hard.he was under paediatrician at our local hospital but under care now of asthma nurse at drs.shes been great.theyd tried him on a liquid montelukast whn younger& acutely ill but didnt help.since hes been on the chewable table, changed completely.hes on seretide inhaler 2x day+ salbutamol as needed - hes gone frm high frequent daily salbutamol to just occasionally.hes atopic.seems to have our rhinosinusitis+ allergies too.hope u can get yr child under control.do go back to basics + ensure she inhales puffer deep+ slow- whn theyre young, med team seem to focus on so many breathe but deep&slow gets it to airways + absorbed better xxxxxx
I don't have a child and i don't know what the best hospital is or even all the options, but it might depend where in the country you are. I've heard (thirdhand) of good things about Birmingham Children's Hospital for severe asthma, but that may not be helpful if you're in northern Scotland!
It might be an idea to ring the helpline, as they'll probably have a much better grasp of the options: 0300 2225800 or WhatsApp 07378 606 728 Monday-Friday 0915-5pm
