I am on symbicort the red one, I am only on 1 puff twice a day, and go up to 2 puffs if I need to increase I can go up to 12puffs a day before I need to contact GP. Reading your present problem. I would say you need to see a gp or asthma nurse urgently. Hope all goes well for you.

Thanks for replying - sorry I nearly missed your response. I'm not a big fan of the Symbicort, to be honest. Relvar suited me loads better but I admit I didn't like the high steroid dose when my asthma was well-controlled.
My steroids finished today and I'm going to see how I do tonight before possibly calling the gp tomorrow. My PEF is still fluctuating wildly but I have managed to actually get some human things done today, so hopefully things are looking up!
Don't leave yourself stuck at weekend, are you under the care of a hospital consultant if your chest is so bad, if not I would ask GP to refer you ASAP. Good luck
