Inducible Laryngeal Obstruction (ILO)

Hey guys, hope you're all well.

So weirdly, I was diagnosed a few days ago with ILO (via a nasendoscopy whilst in my ENT clinic when I was very dysphonic by a Speech and Language Therapist). The thing is though, my main symptom relating to it is dysphonia, I don't typically have breathing issues associated with tightness in the throat (unless anaphylaxis!). The tightness for me is fron straining to talk. Does anyone else relate? I'm not gonna be getting therapy for it until I've had surgery in a few months, so this'll take time.

Also, my tertiary care Asthma nurse I saw a few days ago thinks my EDS is also playing a big role in my breathing difficulties. Anyone got any ideas what they might be thinking of? If not don't worry, just kinda curious, because I've wondered the same. Lol.

Thanks!

Absolutely no idea, I'm afraid. I'd try the nurse on the asthma helpine, because knowing what is going on is always helpful.
