Sometimes I get out of breath just going up one flight of stairs. I currently have covid which has worsened that. I find of my chest is congested then i get breathless.

Good morning. Have you had a check up recently with your doctor or respiratory nurse. And told them about your breathless. You may need your medication changed or referred to a Pulmonary rehabilitation course to see if it will help you. I still get breathless going up steep hills and doing some things around my flat. But other times I am OK. You need to get checked out and tell someone how you are struggling. Let us know how you get on. Brian

For me it varies. Sometimes I can run upstairs and my breathing remains normal. At other times I can feel breathless. This is a sign my asthma is misbehaving 😁Do you have an action plan yet Hidden?

I remember you said you are recently diagnosed, so maybe you haven’t got one yet.

The best way to keep a check on your asthma is to take your peak flow every day. This lets you know when it is starting to play up or improve.

If you are experiencing breathlessness I think you should have a word with your asthma nurse.

The idea of treatment is that you get control of your asthma so that you do not experience any symptoms and that if you do, you know what to do to put yourself back up as quickly as possible.
