long term prednisolone and azithromycin

hi I’ve been on long term steroids & azithromycin (antibiotics) for years . Any one else been on them long term ? 😊

I have unfortunately and now I am having terrible withdrawals I cannot get off them the pain in my joints and muscles is all day every day. I can get down to 5mg and then it starts.

Been on azithromycin for about 12 years.Prednisolone about 5 + times a year.

Never been on Prednisolone continually for more than 4 weeks at a time.

Not really had any issues.

Hi,I’ve been on azithromycin for a year and I feel it helped me get off the steroids last year. I’m on steroids on and off for a few months once I’m on them when I have a flare up.

Thankfully not on them all the time.

I take azrithromycin for 6 months yearly from October onwards I've done this for the past 6yrs and have benefited from this. Hope u stay well

Hi unfortunately I have been on Pred continuously since Dec 2019 with doses up to 40mg but never lower than 20mg! And so many courses of doxycycline I can’t remember! I imagine like soMany of us Feel not in control, want to get off the steroids but it’s just not an option! Not yet anyway but I remain positive!
