Xolair Success!

I had my first Xolair injections on Friday morning - and wow! My lungs feel amazing - so light and so airy. I barely notice I even have lungs unless I actively pay attention to them! Last night I even didn't get my normal night-time deterioration to the same extent. My lungs are definitely not perfect yet, but there's a noticeable improvement! I can't wait to see it get even better over the coming months. I'm so excited to have my lungs feeling a bit better and be able to live a semi-normal life again like every other 20-something year old. I can't stop telling everyone I meet about it because I'm so excited!

This is so great! Good for you. I've been on it for two years and haven't had quite as dramatic a response but I am grateful to take prednisone less often, that's been my big change. Take good care and I hope it keeps working well!

Glad to hear this is a success for you I was on xolair for 12 months in 2015 but unfortunately it did virtually nothing for me , I was switched to mepolizomab for a further 12 months also with very limited success..... in now 15 months in on Benralizumab and this one is fantastic

I’ve been on Xolair for 12months & for the first 6 it was completely fantastic, I thought I was free of breathing problems after a lifetime of struggle (I’m 69). Like you, I told everyone!

Sadly, for me it didn’t last. I also have bronchiectasis & ABPA, & am colonised with pseudomonas. These have worsened, & wiped out the effect of Xolair. Don’t worry though, Xiave, this won’t happen to you.

So… does anyone know if there’s another biologic which works if you have high IgE but normal eosinophils? I need something which might kick the ABPA into touch
