Anyone else needing full time care?

So my asthma has gotten so severe over the last 18 months, i was struggling with looking after my children, even getting dressed and making meals became too much.. Its completely taken over my whole life. I'm fortunate that I can work from home still so do that from my bed.. I now have carers that sleep in my home to help with everything. Just wondering if anyone else is in the same situation?

I'm so sorry to hear this. This sounds very difficult. What meds are you on? Are you able to see a therapist remotely? It sounds like you have been through a lot and could benefit from an empathetic ear and ideally insight from a counselor with experience with chronic illness-

Are you under the care of a specialist? I hope you start to feel better soon. X.

My heart goes out to you. It must be so difficult for you with all your pressures on top. Glad you have carers coming in. Sending you my best wishes.

It's beyond frustrating. I'm on meds, montelukast, 40mg pred long term, fostair, spiriva, Salbutomol, home nebs, blood pressure meds, heart meds, water retention meds.. So many it's unreal.I'm under a specialist severe asthma service now and I'm actually due to start biologics next week. I'm hoping they are going to be life changing like they say they can be!

I was where you are two years ago and it frightens me to think I would ever go back to that.

I was started on Benralizumab and it changed my life. I know that not everyone has the same outcome as me but it saved my life.

I really hope you get some improvement in your symptoms and your quality of life. I am thinking of you can completely empathise with you.

I have rapidly worsening emphysema and am increasingly dependent on others but not as incapacitated as you so far. I really feel for you and hope that the biologics will bring you some ease. Wishing you well xx
