Post vaccine troubles

So I had my first AZ in Feb, and bizarrely my asthma was the best it’s been for years. Had heart problems however, so couldn’t have the second dose until recently, when I got the all clear from the hospital. This time my asthma is REALLY playing up. Coughing loads of gunk up through the night etc. Anyone else experience this following the second dose, or is something else going on I wonder?

Never experienced worsening of asthma personally. Possibility a bit of infection or possibly hay fever going on? 🌹

It's probably more likely that it's coincidental (ie not caused directly by the vaccine) and that maybe your asthma is flaring for another reason, or some other viral thing, or maybe something unrelated to asthma - is it just the night gunk or do you have other asthma symptoms? Postnasal drip can cause people to cough up lots of gunk at night, and pnd can trigger asthma in some people but also just occur separately without affecting someone's asthma. All sorts of things can cause pnd but it might be worth investigating that in case it's causing the gunk and if it is affecting your asthma anyway then dealing with the cause would help that too.

Yep. Have pnd and sinus issues so I live with this on a day to day basis. Have to perform autogenic drainage daily to clear the gunk. But I’m not keeping on top of it. And it’s triggering asthma attacks. Worst it’s been for 30 years ☹️

It sounds like that's the issue then rather than the vaccine itself. But unpleasant for you nonetheless!
