AAP - asthma action plan

ABx - antibiotics

appt - appointment

AN - asthma nurse

DPI - dry powder inhaler (suck inhaler)

ICS - inhaled corticosteroid (preventer inhaler)

LABA - long acting beta-2 agonist (long acting bronchodilator/long acting reliever)

MDI - metered dose inhaler (spray inhaler)

Neb - nebuliser

OCS - oral corticosteroid (steroid tablet/liquid)

OTC - over the counter

PF/PEF - peak (expiratory) flow

pred - prednisolone/steroid tablets

Rx - prescription

SoB - short of breath

vent - ventolin/salbutamol/reliever inhaler

Just thought it would be helpful to add an abbreviation list to help anyone who gets confused. If anyone has anything they want to add, or something they want explained please just comment below!
