Hey all! Ive had Asthma since I was a kid and it can be frustrating to access support when you need it. I just wanted to know if anyone would find more support beneficial as well? Ive heard health coaching could be helpful. Just wanted to hear how everyone else felt

How does everyone feel about current Asthma solutions?
HiI was diagnosed with asthma about 30 years ago. I have been very lucky with the support, advice and treatment in that time. I also have bronchietasis. Along with the medications I have tried varies activities to help with these conditions. The post recent pre Covid was a singing group. Enjoyed it and it seemed to help.
I find it incredibly frustrating to be honest. I have severe uncontrolled asthma and yet I feel that I’m only given support during predetermined appts and nothing in between. I also feel that it would be so much more helpful if, for patients with severe conditions like asthma plus other conditions, there was a doctor put in charge of liaising with all that patient’s various nurses and doctors. I often feel like the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand’s doing and would prefer them to treat me in a bigger picture sense between them than all treat the individual conditions without a thought about how that might impact a different condition.
Im sorry you have been going through that! It can be tough but keep your head up and persevere! You make a valid point that there arent any support services between visits. Like a solution that you could use to control your condition would be helpful I think. Especially if it could be shared with everyone like you said
