I am in Scotland and would like to know if there any shielders under the age of 70 that have had the vaccine. I am 66 and a shielder but have not been offered an appointment meanwhile all my same age friends have been done and totally healthy husband of 63 gets his on Monday - I have contacted the gp/vaccine helpline/nhs inform/my msp and non one will explain why as a shielder I have not been prioritised as promised - so interested if anyone else is in this situation
Grrrr

I’m in England, 64, shielded, had mine today at GP hub. I got a letter inviting me to a mass vaccination centre a couple of days prior to being contacted by my GP.I understand, but could be wrong, that although Scotland are following the guidelines they have had a different approach to England. For example, England started vaccinating non care home residents first, and then did both simultaneously. My GP hub has continued working down the groups, even though there are some housebound over 80s still waiting. ( The District Nurses are doing these.)
Of course, none of this explains why you are still waiting while your friends and husband are still waiting!
Maybe, this is because they want to give you the Pfizer vac?
I’llm shielding and still waiting! Was told by my consultant whilst inpatient last week that letters had gone out to CEV in most areas but I am still waiting on mine 🤷🏼♀️ Hoping I get the letter in the next week!
