Is this caused by asthma?

Hi, I have asthma which is mild, mainly exercise induced wheezing. I have started having this new issue in recent weeks which I'm not sure is related or not. I feel like phlegm in the top of my chest/bottom of windpipe, that I can't shift by coughing, but it is uncomfortable. It lasts for a day or so then goes again, it isn't linked to exercise. I've had it a few times now in recent weeks. Does anybody else get this/have any idea if it is asthma related? Thanks!

It could be. Or it might not be.....Various other things including acid/silent reflux can cause similar feelings. But asthma definitely can too.

Do you have any other asthma symptoms, at the same time as this or at other times?
