I am just wondering if anybody else, gets involuntary breath? I can be doing nothing in particular, not feel breathless, then suddenly do breath/pants, its usually 2 in quick succession, then I continue to breathe normally. Any advice?

Involuntary breath?
I think I know what you mean. I get something similar but I think it's because I haven't been breathing well and need to reset. Everything settles down after I do a few focused deep breaths. I've been told by physios that I have a tendancy to shallow breath. I do breathing exercises to help.
I don't know if it's exactly what you mean but I will find (normally because my partner points it out) that I'll suddenly take a deep breath and a sigh out seemingly out of nowhere. As Poobah says, I think I have a tendancy to shallow breathe and it's my body remembering it needs more air and resetting itself.
It sounds like you may have a breathing pattern disorder/breathing dysfunction going on. It’s not uncommon for people with asthma to pick up BPD but working out what’s going on and correcting any issue should help (BPD can make asthma feel worse!)
If it helps I wrote a little bit about BPD here (near the bottom 😅); healthunlocked.com/asthmauk...
