We booked a holiday last year (not package) for next month. However I can’t see how it’s going to be ok travelling on a plane. I have well controlled asthma but have been working at home since March.
I’m wondering if the travel insurance is going to pay out or not. Has anyone been in a similar position?

In the circumstances, first check that the holiday company are going to go ahead with the holiday. They maybe willing to let you rearrange your holiday for a later date or give you time limited vouchers. If they don't want to help you then talk with your travel insurance company to see what they will do if you cancel your holiday because of the risks posed by Covid-19. It may be that they will require a doctor's certificate stating that you cannot travel. The insurance policy may not cover pandemics but you can check your policy for this - I would definitely check before talking to them.
You can look on the Martin Lewis website for updates on travel and cancellations- there's info about flights, hotels, insurance and how to reclaim money.
Also bbc watchdog has a lot of info. I think they say call the company first. x Anita
