Quitting smoking is one of the best ways to protect yourself from viral infections, including coronavirus. We have quitting support available on our website and you can also still access support from your local stop smoking service via telephone or video call.

If you’ve quit smoking for COVID, we’d love to chat to you about your experience. And we want to make sure your voices are heard, whether it’s in the press, on our blog or just a chat with our team. Your story could even inspire someone else to quit smoking and protect their lungs.

If you’d like to tell us your story you can email us at yourstory@blf.org.uk

I smoked for 60 years and just decided in March to pack it in neither my wife or myself have smoked since March.

I wish i could say i feel so much better but i really dont.

I use my blue inhaler more and the green one twice a day

I am glad i have stopped but still fancy one now and again
