Hi everybody, I have now been prescribed another month of Montelukast including Carbocistein 2 x3times a day as a combined to try to combat mucous Which i have to gag in order to get it up it is a damn nuisance just wondered if anybody has had this combination,I do have problems with side effects on a lot of drugs, funny like that, have had bad experiences in the past which makes me paranoid

Hi, I taking was taking Carbocisteine and montelukast at the same time as I have mild bronchiectasis and need to reduce mucus to prevent the bronchiectasis progressig. The only side effect was vivid dreams from the montelukast which is rare and did stop taking it after a while. I do tend to get a lot of side effects from medicines but the Carbocisteine is completely fine and I'm still taking it. Hope this helps
