Garth Nix/Keys to the Kingdom series

Has anyone else read these (children's?) fantasy books? They're from the 2000s, and I just started re-reading the series. The first book was possibly not the best choice as there's a global pandemic (now on number 4 and it hasn't come back) BUT more importantly the hero is asthmatic and it's actually a pretty good description! Instead of being the Goonies-type "with one puff he broke free" it has him thinking about it sometimes, and deciding based on how his lungs are what he can do, and occasional times when whatever he does the asthma's determined and he ends up in hospital. I'm really enjoying the adventures, if anyone's got access to the books or to a kindle what do you think?
