Best thing to phone your doc. Your inhaler could be out of date good luck

Hi, my asthma does the same. I’m always worse in the morning with it easing a little more in the afternoon. That said it shouldn’t be happening so I’d speak to your GP or asthma nurse for a medication review. I don’t know when you started reusing your brown inhaler but maybe things will clear up once that kicks in 🤞

Hi alot of people have been saying about gunk ( mucus) on the lungs and a cough which is causing problems with the asthma. You haven't really said exactly what problems your getting so if it's just something like shortness of breath or feeling wheezy check the date on your brown like the others said it may be out of date and follow your asthma plan But if it's the mucus like alot of other posts then this is different but you may want to talk to your doctor but you need to cough up the mucus .

HI Dan i've been getting the same problem every morning. My Asthma nurse has now given me a pink inhailer. I was on the brown one and the blue. Still on blue along side the pink.

Hi Daniellemarie1116,

A long time ago I stopped taking my steroid inhaler and my asthma crept back. It took several weeks to get back to normal after I started taking it again. I think the brown inhaler doesn't have the same stuff that works straight away like Fostair which has both steroid and reliever. As starveycat said, it might be out of date and you should speak to your GP to make sure it's nothing else or if you need a different inhaler. Don't put it off as some people are taking a while to get replacements. My lungs have been bad every morning during the last few weeks but I know it's due to the pollen being so high. If you are coughing mucus up as well, look at the colour. If it's green/yellow you might have a chest infection. Take care and speak to your docs!
