I am within the shielding criteria. It's scary seeing it like that and I would like to ask some advice. My daughter lives with me, moved in when my husband died. Her work are insisting she goes in, travelling on packed public transport. And it's wreckless to say the least. How do I manage this? She cant go anywhere else and I cant ask her not to go in as they will sack her.

Our daughter’s partner is still working (albeit not in London). Every day he comes he his phone and keys are sprayed, he puts all his clothes through a wash and has a shower, before doing anything else.
But her employers are rather thoughtless.
Can you make arrangements as to how the house is used between you, so you know which areas are shared and which are for your own use and basically live separately under the same roof. Also make sure she follows the hygiene rules of washing her hands, using separate towels etc and cleaning the bathroom and other shared areas after she’s used them. If you do this and stay at least 2m apart and make sure she understands that if she gets symptoms she needs to isolate herself in her own room then this should help minimise the risks. Also if she shows her work your letter and the guidance is there any chance she could work from home (the guidance says she should be socially distancing and therefore working from home is advised).
This is the government advice for you and others you share your home with:
