Recommendations for a good non-aerosol deodorant?!?

asthmaticclimber profile image

Any recommendations for a effective non aerosol deodorant?

I love climbing and want to be able to be active and not stinky but I find that aerosol deodorants aggravate my asthma and atm it’s really bad so want to avoid anything that might make it worse.

Thoughts?

Hi, I have used Dove original roll on for years and find it very effective. Mind you, I didn't go climbing when I was fit and well so can't vouch for it for that level of activity. Hope you find something suitable.

I use Sure roll on. I used to get hot & sweaty at work & never had any complaints. I do a fair bit of fast walking now & no problems even in summer.

Triple dry. It’s super strength but o suffer with excess sweating so need that level of protection!

I use Amplex for years. It is cheap and effective. Since I now live in Malta, I can say that itis good in the sunshine

I use a mineral stick. I thought it wouldn't be effective and asked my husband to let me know if it wasn't working but no complaints from him. There is no aluminium in it so that's another bonus. I buy it from Boots. It is very cost effective too as it lasts for ages,

Hi,

Solid crystal sticks work well for me. I have used Pitrok, and now Salt of the Earth, from Holland and Barrett. It was a real leap of faith to try them because I do get whiffy quickly (wash thoroughly every morning but can only wear a top for a single day.) very cost effective too.

Sanex is good. I have never been able to use spray on deodorants. Used to long shifts too. Sure is good too.

You could try an alum deodorant block from Natural Spa Supplies (on line only). I've used this in the gym and it seems to work well.

Mitchum is extra strong I think and I use it regularly with no issues.

Sanex is the only spray deodorant that I can tolerate that doesn't affect me, they also do it in a roll on. I tend to use the blue one, 48 hours but peach sensitive one 24 hours works effectively also 😊

I used to use Mitchum's non scented roll on. I now use a natural crystal one but it's not as effective.

I'm the same - wish more people realised as I have been caught by other patients spraying it in hospital!

I use Dove Invisible Dry roll-on (I hate getting marks on my clothes and find too many do that, but this one doesn't). Sanex roll-on also good, and Nivea Pearl & Beauty roll-on seems to work without staining too.

I've used good old Mum roll on unperfumed for many years and used to be extremely active.
