Natural ant-acid

Natural ant-acid. I have suffered with acid reflux for years. I had a life threatening Asthma attack in November 2019. It started after I had been sick and had bad acid. (I did read an article that said acid problems can bring on an attack that's why it's not good to drink wine because it contains a certain acid that can bring on an Asthma attack 🙁) After I got home I decided to start eating porridge each (it's a natural ant-acid) morning to stop the acid build up and give my stomach a good lining before the days activities. We'll it worked wonders and i have been doing this every morning since plus its help my IBS. I thought I'd share this because I know that acid can bring on a severe attack. It's worth a try it worked wonders for me. 🌺

Thanks for sharing, sounds like a good tip, though I struggle to enjoy porridge I’m afraid. I’ll try again....!

Thank you for the porridge tip, very useful.

Wines & beers contain sulphites that can be triggers to certain asthmatics, that's on top of the acidity.

All the best.

Alcohol is the 'perfect storm', it raises the acid levels and relaxes the valve at the top of the stomach....

A few other natural antacids I have learned about - (1) acidophilus (by pill or plain yogurt or Kefir milk). (2) The good type of spring water - I keep a bottle on my counter of "Fifi" and drink a 1/2 glass whenever feel a little acid in throat and it takes care of it (I only drink a little each day, as have read that too much, too quick is hard on system). At other times, I drink tap water or regular spring water.

As far as wine, there are makers of wines without sulfides, but they're usually only available at health food stores. I bought a bottle once, and it tasted good. Good luck to you.

Thanks for acid tips I must agree water does always help. 🌺
