I have asthma and acid reflux. I also have bad breath, so I have tried all sorts of things to reduce/remove that. I decided to try gargling with TCP and also using it as a mouth wash after flossing.
I make up a very weak solution, about half a capful to a tumber of water.
I think it is working as far as the bad breath goes, though perhaps I smell of TCP now.
I wondered whether anyone else did this, and whether there is any danger in using TCP like this all the time?

Hello
I am not sure I would use TCP for bad breath in fact I wouldn't
But I would ask in the chemist or your Doctor what they thought as well as maybe your Dentist if possible ?
It might be that you feel the TCP is working because it is such a strong smell and would mask anything because of this but as far as it helping long term and using this long term I would talk with the professionals , they will know
A mouth issue they do always say your dentist is the best to seek advice from which now I do
Thank you but I don't think it is a mouth issue. My dentist always gives me a clean bill of health and nil risks. It is most likely caused by stomach or throat issues.
I used to use TCP before I found out that there are better products out there . Personally have found Boots Expert the best and most effective mouth wash .
