I have a cold and cough and they always set my asthma off, i usually call 111, go to out of hours and get sent to a&e about 3 times a year. The problem is my mum usually does it, I'm 18 and have anxiety, I'm home alone and I have no idea what to do. The coughs keep getting stuck, abd every time i try to it hurts my head, I've had numerous inhaler puffs with and without my aerochamber. My chest is tickly and I have to pause multipke times to complete a sentence.

Cough setting off Asthma attack, advice?
You sound like you need to go to hospital (a&e/urgent care) if your blue pump isn’t helping. Call 999 and speak to them as not being able to talk normally due to shortness of breath suggests you need help (esp as you’ve said blue doesn’t seem to be helping/resolving the issue). Be brave you can do it
I too have similar issues when I get a cold...in fact I dread the winter. I find, however, that if I triple the dose of my combination inhaler the minute I feel a cold coming on...I can usually manage. Your cough could be due to post-nasal drip and a nasal spray, like flixotide, could be useful. I also have a nebulizer at home which I use when my chest is tight. I recommend you discuss to your issue with your GP and see if you can obtain any advice from that quarter. I am trying accupuncture to build up my immune system, to help stop me from getting a cold in the first place. Hope this helps.
