Benralizumab

Hi!
I’m on triple dose Mepolizumab at the moment, but have been told that Benralizumab is my next option as things are not as effective as hoped, so I would also be very interested to hear about anyone else who’s on this drug.
Good luck!! Hope it works for you.
Bestest wishes
Rose
That’s my next step too after , have tried xolair, mep and resilamab

Yes I am. I had to stop mepo cause of side effects. Since benra the only issues I’ve had are;
‘Flu-like’ bad of injection (with PF drop within an hour of dose... usually resolved with vent)... was possibly mild chest infection after 1st dose... couldn’t tell if it was one or t’other so had ABx jic.
Mild flare of my urticaria/angiodema day of dose (reducing each dose, resolved with additional antihistamines)
Possible fatigue (hard to tell as I have CFS/ME/post viral fatigue... definitely not as bad as when on mepo regardless!)
And I think that’s basically it. I have not needed an emergency admission since before starting benra - 5 months now (4 doses). This is the longest amount of freedom since I became severe. I do still have some issues but all dealt with at home with max 1 neb. (I have eosinophilic and atopic asthma, the issues I’ve had have been down to hay fever/heat I think)
Anyway hope that helps. It’s definitely working for me and a lot better side effects wise than mepo!
Aw thanks ....yeah coming up to my 6 month stage where I usually ventilated when on mepo and resli , benra my chest appears better but I am so fatigued .....headaches ....it be my 5th in October x
Ah. I get the fatigue and headaches (associate them with the fatigue/CFS). For me they’re not as bad on benra compared to mepo (never had resli), and my lungs are so much better behaved so long as it doesn’t get worse I’m happy to just cope with it. I hope things calm down for you. I’m also getting number 5 in Oct 😂😂
Which hospital ?
Good luck ...keep in touch ...I at Manchester.
I just started on it, next dose is next week. No side effects that I noticed. But have had 2 A&E visits in the last week but hoping things will improve as time goes on
