I was on a brown inhaler for many many years and it never caused any bad effects. My asthma just got worse as I grew up and I got put onto more powerful things.

Brown is your standard preventer inhaler and as well as all preventers it is okay to take with your blue. I'm sure someone who is still on it will give you a better answer but there shouldn't be anything to get worried about :)

I don't think your brown inhaler is giving you 200 mg but 200 mcg. My brown inhaler is stronger at 329mcg I usually take 4 puffs a day, more at certain times. I have no worries about taking it, or any other medication I'm on.

I don't often use my blue inhaler as the brown one works so well.

However while I've been diagnosed as being asthmatic for 45 years and had that many years' experiences of using inhalers I am not a medical practitioner. I can only tell you of my experience of using the brown inhaler which is not to worry.

Totally agree! I would add that the effects of not using the preventer (not being able to breathe) are far worse than any potential side effects. I’m not a medic - just an asthmatic.

You might find a chat with your pharmacist helps. Chemist know a lot about the medications they dispense and I'm sure s/he would be willing to explain it all to you. It's easier to talk to the chemist than get an appointment with a doctor!

I used to be on the blue and brown inhalers, but I was still a little bit asthmatic at 7am so my nurse moved me to the much stronger Pink/Fostair inhaler.

I think all these inhalers are brilliant even though the Fostair sometimes gives me leg cramps. If you feel unwell visit your doctor/nurse. But if you feel ok keep taking the meds. And remember if you are taking the blue and brown, like I used to --- take the blue first.

I would not worry to much. 200 micro grams is very small. You would have press the inhaler 140,000 times to get one ounce of this medicine. sorry about the last sentence but I am good at figures.

Best wishes
