If part of your self-treatment at home includes ‘saline-ony’ via a Nebuliser, please could you answer a few questions, below.

Note: It’s Nebulised Saline - without any drugs / other stuff added - that I’m keen to learn about.

1. How many weeks, years you’ve been doing it?

2. What form / strength of Saline?

3. What effect / benefit you get from it?

4. How long does benefit last for after Nebuliser use?

5. Does it help delay Oral Steroid Use?

6. How strong you Score it as one of your Treatments on Scale of 1 (Not much good) to 10 (Amazing)

Thanks in advance.

I occasionally use 0.9% saline nebules when I have mucus that I can’t shift from a chest infection etc. In that aspect it works well, however for me it can trigger my asthma worse and always makes me cough more, hence why it’s not usually a go too treatment for an asthmatic without a concurrent resp condition such as bronchiectasis or COPD.
