Hi I am now on my 3rd day of taking them and there are no signs of any change. I've been given 5 mg tablets and told to take 8 tablets each morning for 7 days. If not any better after I've taken the full course I have to go back to the drs. Any information would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

How long does it normally take for Prednisolone Tablets to work in adults?
Hi
It can take up to 4 days for you to start to feel an improvement. Hope you start to feel better soon
Are you on anti biotics as well? If you’re feeling poorly it can take a few days to kick in, but you should hopefully start feeling better soon if you don’t go back to your gp you may need something else. X
I normally feel like Heman on steroids after a few hours (3-5) but breathing starts improving after a few days
Hi, I went to gp on the 5th day of prednisolone - there had been no improvement. The doctor upped the dosage and told me to take another weeks worth at the higher dose.
Good Luck
I got relief in 3 to 4 hours plus I was taking my preventer a bit more to help me
I am semi permanently on Prednisolone now to keep my asthma under control. They are literally life savers. I am sure I would be dead without them. Normally within 2-3 days you started to notice a distinct improvement. After a week of taking 30mg a day even the worst bout I've experienced has cleared up. But then with me I am now finding my asthma and phlegm and severe breathlessness keeps re-occurring every 2--3 weeks and my inhalers just don't cut it, so it's back to the steroids.
