Hello!
Just a quick question... Is it possible to have a asthmatic reaction to an allergy in just one lung?

Hi
Erm... not sure 🤔. I know I can present with wheezing in one lung and often have 1 lung worse than the other. Sometimes I feel it more in one side, but then I’m told it’s both. Sometimes I get told it’s just 1 lobe on 1 side (usually when I’m feeling well with little/no symptoms) so 🤷♀️
I think usually it’ll be both sides (especially when severe) however if it’s a very mild attack maybe it could just be one side that’s symptomatic, but that would be unusual if caused by an allergen (which would have presumably gone into both lungs 🤨). Who knows?!
I feel like I’ve just come full circle and not gone anywhere...😂😅
That makes sense that if dander say from a dog goes in both lungs it would cause a reaction in both. I've had a problem in my right lung for over a month (No real answers from the CT scans other than some fluid in my lung like a Pleurisy). Anyhow I've had it for over a month. Got a dog last week and a few days ago just been having the right lung flare up a bit more. But everything on the other side is fine... Just trying to make sure it's not my beautiful new doggie.
Hi
That doesn’t sound like asthma tbh. Asthma is usually bilateral, and the only time we really get fluid is from infections like pneumonia. 😕
Hopefully the dog isn’t making things worse (I’m happy to dog sit if you need me to tho 😉)
Good luck finding the cause of it all!
Could it not be that you have/have had an infection in one lung and thus your lung tissue there has become much more sensitive than the other?
