Can you still have the injection with a chest infection starting, I’m due mine tomorrow and think I maybe coming down with one although I just feel very tired and just under the weather today, I’ve left it too late to ring asthma team

I would say yes as they always have me mine ....

I even had mine the day after I came out of hospital after being in 10 days with pneumonia.

I don’t know if it’s any different for mepo but I’m on omalizumab and have been given it both on discharge days and have been admitted immediately after having it. I imagine it’s fairly similar for mepo

Haven’t had mepo (yet) but when I was on xolair it got cancelled once when I was on day 3 of antibiotics - only time it’s been stopped other than me becoming allergic. They said day 4 would have been fine to have it.

I also had it when ill with a virus and when I was really wheezy and they had me admitted that day... guessing it’ll be a similar thing for mepo x

I was getting over a v nasty chest infection 2wks ago & consultant said to delay it for 7 days as it may make me worse..
