Hi my name is Ann. Diagnosed with Barrett’s Oesophagus in June this year and prescribed,Omeprazole 20mg twice a day.

After I have eaten I get really bloated and awful trapped wind it’s getting so bad I dread eating ,I usually stick to fruit and salad and only drink water.

I would really appreciate any advice. Thanks

Had 'Windeze' over the counter , it helps andcan be taken with Omeprezole. I take Buscopan (prescribed)

for cramps , I think that can be bought over the counter too. Certain vegetables can provoke wind eg cauliflower, broccali, beans ( of course!) . Take milk if you can and ensure you do not swallow air when you eat. All the very best to you as I know how it feels to be bloated and windy.u9

Are you sensitive to wheat or dairy maybe, I have that problem when I eat wheat.

Try Lactose free milk or goats milk as some people get upset by milk sugar and can cause bloating and abdominal pain.
