Just wondering.

I have used fostair but found it prevented me from sleeping so have gone back to clencil even though it gives me an upset tummy and tightness in my chest. Anyone have alternative meds they use.? I can't see a nurse cause it's the weekend.

Did you try taking the fostair earlier in the evening? I find the side effects do lessen after an hour or so.

There are some alternatives but fostair works so well for me that I am prepared to accept some of the side effects. I found the Asthma UK nurses very knowledgeable about the various appropriate alternatives when I had side effects from symbicort. Using a spacer did help to reduce side effects.

Yes. I took it about 9.00.

I found that Fostair stops me sleeping but somehow it never occurred to me to take it earlier in the evening, I take it right before going to bed. This evening I’d meant to take it earlier having read your advice but I forgot. I’ll try to remember tomorrow and see how it goes.

Did you give it a fair chance? It’s generally consider to be a good drug in it’s class. If you used it for a couple of weeks with continued issues, fair enough. But it mostly seems to work well. Hope you find the solution you’re looking for.
