Hi, I've not posted before but was after some advice. The last time we went camping my daughter's asthma got worse at night because of campfires / bbq's. We haven't been on holiday for years and we can only go on holiday if we use our tent. Has anyone gone through this and have any ideas?
Does anyone know of any campsites where campfires / bbqs are restricted and the wardens check?
Thanks all.

It is a problem isn't it! Had to shut all our windows last night because of neighbour's BBQ. Many camp sites have restricted areas for BBQs because of fire hazards, but I think you'd need to check with individual sites.
Hi, thanks for replying to my message. New on here so just getting used to it. Hope you had no issues last night. I will take your advice and call around. Poohbear59 also mentioned forestry commission sites so I might give that ago as I think people use firepits as bbq as they're off the ground but can be really smoky for people with asthma. Thanks strongmouse.
Hi Joan_Public, thank you so much for replying. I've just looked at the site and the tent has been turned into a wood cabin. Lovely place and I'm sure other asthmatics will find the info useful. Thanks Joan_Public.
