It's allergies! Psyche! But seriously, it is.

So I got back from the Doctor's the other day and the blood results are in:

All negative.

So this puts me at square zero. Apparently, Japan doesn't have allergy specialists. You go to your GP or whatever and they send in blood work. Looks like scratch/prick test isn't practiced here, at least not for adults and not on insurance. They only test for the main things, of course, and nothing about non-allergic rhinitis or the new nasal test that is going around.

This puts me in a huge pickle because I don't show any signs of an allergic reaction except maybe my asthma, and I usually have a slight delay, too, so it creates a domino effect. Which means I could have had sensitive airways first, the allergy aggravated it or vice versa or a million other possibilities.

Well, thinking back on the last couple of days before the visit that revealed allergies, I had brushed my dog, vacuumed the house and done some cleaning (all without a face mask as I really struggle with that). I did notice one eye was a little red, but I assumed it was strain as I do a lot of reading and stuff.

And I can't do much now. A typhoon is blowing in (two actually, over the course of the next couple of weeks) and rainy season has finally set in. To top it off, I seemed to have caught a slight fever between visits which seems to be going down....ugh... so confused!

Oh well, I am almost 40 now so I am going to first recheck my baseline temperature, then I will start keeping a journal that outlines the day and see if I can find any connections.

Originally, I was non-allergic asthma. Seems Ideveloped an allergy recently and Japab doesnt offer all the tools to find out what it is.
