Hi guys I was just wondering if anyone has ever gone to the hospital more than once in a week. I just got home 2days ago after getting a couple treatments and I'm concerned that my breathing doesn't seem to have improved much. I felt better at first but now I feel like I'm going back to how I was before treatment. My chest is still very tight and I'm still coughing (worse now than before) My inhalors aren't helping much and are just making me shaky because of how much I'm taking. I dont want to go back because I just got home and I'm concerned they will think it's in my head.
So has anyone else had to go back to the hospital more than once in a really short amount of time?

Hi littlemonster, yep I went in by ambulance, two night stay to stabilise then out. Like you I felt no better. Struggled at home, had the GP out after 5 days (my first home visit ever). She rang for an ambulance, admitted again. This time took a 2 week hospital stay to stabalise my asthma. They changed my inhaler and I took extra meds for a month.
Don't leave it as long as I did to get help. Their problem if they discharged you too soon.
I went to Urgent Care (here in the States) and had to go back few days later because I was worse. Just go, and dont worry about what they think. If you feel that bad, you need help. My medicines arent working well either and i'm under Drs care and plan of meds etc, but I'm thinking of going to ER as I feel Im getting worse
My daughter used to have this, and in the end she had open access to the ward. They also used to make it clear (before she got open access) that we could call the ward 48hours after discharge for help, and sometimes she would be readmitted. Just call for help... This is the system.
