Just curious
This sounds like health anxiety to me. Why not post in an anxiety forum as they are more likely to be able to help you.
As an asthma sufferer. Have you been overdoing the Ventolin? That is a common problem. If so then it might be worth seeing the GP for a prevention inhaler as well. Ask for a overall check up too.
BE Well
I had a similar event to what you describe apart from the heart rate. I don't know what that was as I didn't think about it at the time. I sat down for a bit & the feeling passed & I didn't get checked out. About 3 years later, co-incidently when I was being diagnosed with asthma, I mentioned it to my doctor. He didn't seem at all bothered by it & just said it wasn't a heart attack or I would have needed help.
It still there
Hi Cutts25,
No idea. Doctors don't always get things right, but if you have been seen several times and you are okay then it would indicate that it isn't a heart attack. Write down your symtoms and when you get them and what you were doing just before they appeared. Check which medication helps and which doesn't. e.g. do you use ventolin does it help? What asthma medications are you do they help or not?
The doctors base their assessment and diagnosis on tests but also the symptoms you describe to them. The human body is complicated and physical and mental issues interplay. If you weren't having a heart attack that is good news!!! They would be able to tell from tests. What problems you have is impossible to say via a forum. My suggestion is to keep a careful diary of when your symptoms occur and what worries and then talk to your doctor. Whatever the cause is you need to find the right good support. Anxiety is a possiblity in which case you still need treatment and support after anything else is excluded. If it isn't anxiety then you may need more tests.
Just one more thought is to check what medication you are on and what the possible side effects are. My husband has heart problems and diabetes and has been led up the garden path and back again because of missed side effects!
Take care.
