Brittle Asthma ecacerbation

Hi folks,

I have had asthma on and off in cycles since I was 7yrs old. Recently my asthma has become a lot worse and was told I had brittle asthma. Most of the time I can control it with my meds but very so often it just hits me and I am floored an need to attend A&E to go on nebs. I am suffering at the moment and I am taking my meds and usually after a week I am fine but this time I am so so tired and get breathless easily. I think it was triggered off by an electric air freshner that sprays. I can't seem to shake this. Has anyone had this happen to them and if so how long did it last? 😷

I also have brittle asthma, I can't assist on the sprayer, other than when in doubt get rid. I have tried all sorts to find my trigger but to no avail.

I think that repeated attacks lead to an accumulated exhaustion and perhaps you need to find a way to relax. If you have a life where you think this is impossible, you have a definite need to find out how to simplify your life to include relaxation. Obviously avoid all the usual triggers where possible, but look at the psychological side of your life as well as the physical. Not easy, so good luck.
