Hi everyone I'm 17.

I have had a tight chest from 10pm ish and I've used my ventolin ( 8 puffs). The pain is gone but I am wheezing and it sounds like a whistle in my chest.

Any advise on what to do? I've been recently diagnosed with asthma, GP practise doesn't have an asthma use at the moment and I can't see a GP until Tuesday!

Keep taking your ventolin periodically. Take an hour or two before you take another 8 puffs. Do you have an asthma action plan? If so follow your asthma plan. Do you own a spacer? Use the spacer it will help you from drying out your mouth and it will reduce the amount of medicine that goes to your mouth instead of your lungs (your lungs need it most!)
