No cough,but phlegm?

Hi ! I have this virus that leads to asthma and i was wondering as to whether or not im improving....i had it for 4 weeks with continuous cough and wheeze. The cough is gone from the medicene the doc gave however the phlegm is still there making it hard to cough out..is there anyway to get rid of it

There are herbal supplements that loosens,and thins out that stuff which can make it easier to get rid of,I can't I think I just remembered the name of one it was most noticeable when I used it ,its called OSHA root ,look it up research it,try it,it didn't hurt me ,I think it's safe.
