Hi,

I've been given today Aliflus instead of seretide

Is it a cheaper generic alternative ?

Did anybody use it ? any side effects?

Thanks

This is from the leaflet enclosed with the inhaler:-

"Aliflus® 125 CFC Free Inhaler / Seretide® 125 CFC Free Inhaler/Seretide® 125 Evohaler®

Aliflus® 250 CFC Free Inhaler / Seretide® 250 CFC Free Inhaler/Seretide® 250 Evohaler®

(Salmeterol xinafoate and Fluticasone propionate)

Your medicine is known by one of the above names, but will be referred to as

Seretide throughout this leaflet. Seretide is available in other strengths."

Seems to be identical in every respect!

I ave been ok on seretide ,dr changed me to sereflo and I constantly had headaches so she said she would give me seretide back .chemist just delivered it and on the box it says Alieflus also on the canister it says Aliefus but got a sticker covering it which as been stuck on saying its seretide it also as a sticker on box saying seretide ,,must think we dont know the difference ,making out that we are getting seretide ,,Fed up of feeling we are being used as guinea pigs to try cheaper versions to cut costs ..GP Not thinking of patients health and care .
