Hi guys quick question , this warm weather I,m wondering why during the day I,m fine but as soon as it gets to about 6 o'clock & I,ve taken my last meds for the day ( aminophylline ) my chest starts getting really tight & I have to more often than not have a neb to ease it . Any ideas ?

Do you get hayfever? The pollen count goes up in the evening, as the air cools and the pollen sinks back down.

Hi chicChantal, you know I never thought of that . I don't think I have hayfever coz I don't get the runny eyes etc , thanks for that 😊

Might be worth having an allergy test? I'm allergic to plane trees and grass pollen and they affect me differently. The trees give me runny eyes, grass pollen makes me sneeze.

You know what chicChantal your confirming something I,ve thought for a while, might be a bit long winded but here we go . 7 years ago i moved in to this bungalow because of my chest probs & I think I have got worse due to the fact that just outside my front gate is a massive tree & at this time of year my path is always covered in bird poo ( pigeons ) the same at the back my neighbour has a massive fir 🌲 which is more over my fence than his & again pigeons nest in it & I said to 1 of my kids on Saturday that my chest always seems worse April, may , he said it's the bird muck look at the state of your path . I,ve spoken to my local council about it b4 & they said because the trees are healthy & good for the environment they will not do anything so it looks like a case of me against 2 trees & pigeons 😣

Trees are good in general, they help keep the air clean. I wouldn't like pigeon poo on my path either, but do they really affect your chest? We have pollen from all sorts of trees in the air, it could equally much be that, not just your two trees.

Hi wheezy , bird poo does affect your chest especially once it has dried & the dust is in the air same as pollen, I believe the decease associated with it is called BFL bird fanciers lung .
