Hi over the last few days I have developed a hoarse voice with no sore throat or cough. However my asthma has been affected feeling short of breath especially when I am talking to people. Don't know whether to contact my asthma nurse or doc??

Hoarse voice

Hi Barbs80
This is normally how I know I need to have an asthma meds review/asthma check up. I'd definitely talk to your Asthma Nurse/GP if you're concerned. I've woken up this morning with the beginnings of an upper resp tract infection so I'm awaiting a call back. Hope you get some answers.
Hi Barbs yes you better have a check up..sometimes inhalers give us a hoarse voice, I have a hoarse voice all year round now but if you are short of breath your asthma is not controlled so it is worth talking to the doctor again. Good luck x

Thanks, yes I do have a hoarse voice a lot with using inhalers for over 30years but this time it's worse. Think my meds are not controlling my asthma as well as usual. A visit to the asthma clinic might be on my agenda this week.
Hope they sort it out and you regain control of your asthma xx
