Ok I have looked up the medication you are on and it's a combination inhaler which has a long acting reliver to relieve your symptoms and a cortosteriod preventer to help prevent inflammation of your lungs in the long term. Direct quote from asthma UK combination inhalers page.

As you haven't taken your inhaler for eight days what do you think is happening to your lungs and airways,? Without this inhaler your symptoms will get worse when you come in contact with one of your triggers possibly. Then if this happens (it's happening already as your airways are always slightly inflamed as you have astma) then your airways may become seriously inflamed and you won't be able to breath. Basically the only way I can say it is that you are walking around naked and unarmed walking into a gunfight you may be Ok. Today but one day soon you won't be.

I have to go now if you don't believe me look at asthma UK and take the asthma risk test. The reason why you have been Ok in the past is that your inhaler was protecting you and reducing the risk that's why you felt fine.
